Top Sacred Message . . . " Blessing God! "
As unbelievable as it might seem, the One “from Whom all blessings flow” also gives us the privilege, honor and ability to bless “HIM”. God “commands” us to do it and in fact, it is the purpose for which we were created! King David takes the lead for us in this: “Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever (Psalm 145:2).”
There is nothing more worthy of our blessing than the matchless Name of our Lord and all that it represents. We are “called” to honor His Name! We bless Him when we tell Him, as Jesus taught us, “Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name . . .” Daniel blessed God like this: "Praise be to the Name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him (Daniel 2:20-22).”
David knew that God’s Name is “exalted above all things (Psalm 138:2)”, so he made a commitment to God: “I will bless Your Name forever and ever (Psalm 145:1).” God wants us to bless Him with everything that we have (Psalm 103:1). David’s words in Psalm 145:21 says: “Let all flesh bless His Holy Name forever and ever.”
Let each of us Bless the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and mind and strength. Let us thank the Lord for how He will use us in the lives of others by speaking to them His Words of Blessing.
"Bless the Lord, O my soul . . ."
